International Refugee Assistance Project

International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is a national organization that mobilizes direct legal aid and systemic policy advocates on behalf of refugees through the engagement of law students.

IRAP

Through IRAP at Emory Law, law students assist volunteer attorneys to provide individual legal representation for refugees seeking resettlement and engage in policy work around refugee issues. Under the supervision of pro bono attorneys, law students collaborate to help refugees on matters such as the naturalization process, client intake, document preparation, and advocacy projects.Participating law students do not receive academic credit, but do receive pro bono credit toward Emory’s pro bono recognition program.
