Biography

Bob Marcovitch is an veteran appellate practitioner, having served as both a federal prosecutor and a civil litigator. Currently, Marcovitch is a Dean’s Professor at Emory University School of Law, where he teaches a variety of subject matters, including torts, administrative law, products liability, and legal profession. 

Marcovitch maintains a limited law practice and his focus is on legal issues pertinent to medical malpractice defense. He has practiced in this area before Georgia trial and appellate courts for the past 10 years and continues to consult with health care providers.

He is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, the Massachusetts bar (inactive), the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Georgia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
