Mary L. Dudziak
Mary L. Dudziak is a leading scholar of legal history and the United States and the World. She works at the intersection of US domestic law and international affairs. She is currently writing about war and political accountability in American history. Dudziak' s courses include Foreign Relations Law, Constitutional Law, 20th Century US Constitutional History, Going to War (a history and political science course), and a seminar and colloquium on War and Security in Law, Culture, and Society.
David J. Bederman Fellowship in International Law
This prestigious fellowship is awarded each year to up to two Emory Law students to study in the Summer Programme at the Hague Academy of International Law. The fellow is named for Professor David Bederman, a renowned international law scholar and long-time faculty member at Emory Law.
The International and Humanitarian Law Clinic (IHLC)
IHLC students work on the front lines - researching ways to hold perpetrators accountable, working on detention, targeting and other issues in contemporary conflict, and partnering with the US military on strategies for enhanced education and training in the law of armed conflict. These students learn more than the practice of law - they are work both in the US and abroad to minimize the devastating consequences of war for soldiers and civilians.

Emory National Security & Military Law Society
The National Security and Military Law Society (NSMLS) is dedicated to creation of an effective, non-partisan forum for informed dialogue on U.S. National Security issues and foreign affairs, with a particular emphasis on the intersection between security issues and the law. NSMLS engages with professionals in the field to host speaking engagements and career panels. Events in the past have included career panels, JAGs from the service branches, counsels from federal agencies, and representatives from non-profits.
International Law Society
The International Law Society brings together students with a common interest in private and public international law. One of the largest practice societies at the Law School, the organization brings together a diverse set of students and professionals to discuss topics of immediate relevance and import in the field of international law, and sponsors international business, public policy, and cultural events. It assists students in preparing for careers in international law, provides information on educational and work opportunities abroad, and acts as a liaison with other international groups, especially the Center for International and Comparative Law and the Emory International Law Review.
